Anthony Raneri Interview

by Ryan Pangilinan

Most of the year, Anthony Raneri stands as Bayside’s singer/guitarist and, as is such, he’s oftentimes the lightning rod for the band when it comes to attention, be it positive or overtly critical. For years, Raneri’s toured by himself in…

Totally Crushed Out Over; Total Tropes Starting.

The other day, I texted Michelle about ending Totally Crushed Out. It’s been pretty fun and it ran a lot longer than some of my other projects, but the fact of the matter is that I don’t have nearly as much time as I used to, plus, I wasn’t really happy with what it was becoming.

As a direct result, I started Total Tropes. I’m never going to stop writing or wanting to get inside the thought process of how people create shit that I wish I did, and Total Tropes will allow me to continue being curious about things.

Derangeways Update

Wasn’t this supposed to come out last summer? Wasn’t it all edited and finished?

In short, yes and yes.

Life is kind of funny in the way that shit can crash and burn easily and before you know it, most of those old stories seem so irrelevant to other stuff happening. I still stand behind most of the stories that appear in “Derangeways,” but I wanted to add some new shit and take out some stuff.

That’s really it. I’m not delusional and I know that people aren’t necessarily chomping at the bit, but this is more of a personal reminder that I have to finish this shit.

I suppose it’s been a little while since this has been updated, but I haven’t been completely idle. I started this little men’s fashion blog under the pretense that you can “dress like a gentleman at scumbag prices.”

Bayside Interview
by Ryan Pangilinan

New York outfit Bayside is easily one of the most sonically polarizing bands out on the scene today. While their earliest material featured the band playing breakneck speed pop-punk, their sound developed quickly into what you hear now, which blurs the lines…

This is an interview I did with Nick and Chris from Bayside on their last tour. It’s probably one of my favorite interviews and diverges from the usual stuff. Check it.

Dawhud x Ryan Fresh, “Got It, Got It” (Teaser)

A few months ago, Dawhud and I talked about doing a joke cover of Kreayshawn’s “Gucci Gucci” but making it about buying records, and thus, the first track from our upcoming mixtape was born. Enjoy!
