Over the last few months, I’ve been writing and recording a bunch and this EP is the end result. What began as an electronic project, quickly morphed into something that’s just completely raw and acoustic, though one of the earliest iterations made it on the recording. It’s completely lo-fi, but that’s how I wanted it to sound. Anyway, this EP — THESE MERCENARIES — took a lot out of me. Not to say that it’s on some REVOLVER-type shit, but revisiting the moments that inspired some of these songs wasn’t the easiest thing in the world, though it was necessary. I’m going to have a limited amount of copies of this EP at the show with Dawhud on Tuesday and they’ll be $2. They’ll be complete with an insert and a cover, so it’s not like you’re just getting some random shit.
